Position Summary
We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join a vibrant, patient-focused clinic serving diverse communities, with a focus on underserved and LGBTQIA+ patients. In this full-time role, you’ll provide comprehensive primary and sexual healthcare, making a real difference in patients’ lives every day. You’ll diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions such as HIV, STIs, Hepatitis C, diabetes, hypertension, and minor injuries, while offering counseling on sensitive health topics and sexual wellness.
Your responsibilities will include taking detailed sexual health histories, conducting preventive screenings, ordering and interpreting labs, imaging, and EKGs, prescribing medications and treatments, and providing education on health outcomes, risk reduction, and behavior strategies. You’ll manage 18–20 patients per 8-hour shift, including walk-ins and urgent cases, maintain accurate EHR documentation, and respond promptly to patient messages.
In addition, you’ll participate in ongoing training, quality assurance processes, policy development, and community outreach events, such as HIV/HCV testing and public health initiatives. You’ll work collaboratively with a diverse team, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for patients while upholding HIPAA and other confidentiality standards.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Nursing and Florida NP license with prescriptive authority and DEA license
Minimum 18 months of clinical NP experience
Comfort working with diverse populations and managing sexual health, HIV, and STI care
Required vaccinations and proof of immunity per Florida Department of Health
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
